County of Sonoma Post-closure Compliance Monitoring
County of Sonoma Post-closure Compliance Monitoring
Sonoma County, CA
EBA has been providing landfill engineering services to the County of Sonoma since the early 1990’s. These services have encompassed permitting, design, construction management, site characterization and environmental reporting. Currently, EBA is contracted for the performance of post-closure compliance monitoring and reporting for the following County of Sonoma closed landfill facilities: Annapolis Landfill, Guerneville Landfill, Occidental Landfill, Healdsburg Landfill, Roblar Landfill, Sonoma Landfill, and Airport Landfill.
EBA performs groundwater, surface water, leachate and unsaturated zone sampling at these facilities in accordance with the respective Waste Discharge Requirements (WDRs) and their associated Monitoring and Reporting Programs (M&RPs). Laboratory analytical results are subjected to a rigorous quality assurance / quality control review process and, when applicable, are evaluated using established statistical analysis programs to determine if there is a measurably significant indication of a potential release.
EBA performs routine standard observations and facility inspections to ensure the engineering controls, including water diversion systems, leachate management facilities, secondary containment, and access roads, are functioning as designed. Additionally, EBA acts as a regulatory liaison and prepares post-closure compliance monitoring reports for the County of Sonoma sites with a strict adherence to established regulatory requirements and due dates.
EBA brings a high level of professionalism and attention to detail to all aspects of our work which we believe has contributed greatly to maintaining regulatory compliance for the County of Sonoma closed landfill facilities.
