County of Sonoma Monitoring Well Installations & Abandonments
Annapolis, CA
EBA prepared a Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan for the Annapolis Landfill proposing the installation of replacement monitoring wells MW-9R and MW-10R as well as the proper abandonment of five dry and/or non-functional monitoring wells which was subsequently approved by the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board. EBA assisted the County of Sonoma in contractor bid solicitation and completed the permitting associated with the implementation of the work.
EBA also oversaw the County’s selected drilling contractor in the installation of MW-9R and MW-10R as well as the abandonment of the dry and/or non-functional monitoring wells. The replacement monitoring wells were installed using a sonic drilling rig to depths of 50 feet below ground surface. The wells will be incorporated into the groundwater monitoring program.
EBA is currently preparing a Corrective Action Report, which includes a determination of the status of the recently installed wells as part of either the detection monitoring or corrective action monitoring networks.
