Hydrogeologic Study & Well Sitings
Clearlake, CA

EBA serves as Engineer of Record for Highlands Municipal Water Company (HMWC), providing a variety of engineering and environmental services including a Hydrogeologic Study and Well Sitings for the addition of a municipal water supply well to supplement the existing source.

The hydrogeologic study includes:

  • Perform a site visit to observe/locate site conditions, adjacent properties, on-site and/or nearby water supply wells, and pertinent local hydrogeologic features.
  • Obtain site-specific information regarding site history and development, historical and current water uses, and details regarding the proposed and future development.
  • Interview local well drillers to inquire about historical and current groundwater conditions in the area.
  • Acquire and review available Water Well Driller’s Reports (WWDRs) for on-site and/or off-site water supply wells to determine well construction and lithologic information for the area.
  • Conduct a literature review of available geologic reports and water supply papers.
  • Research zoning designations for the area to evaluate potential future development and associated changes in water supply demands.
  • Determine existing and future on-site groundwater use, as well as off-site groundwater use considerations.
  • Prepare a water budget and groundwater availability analysis, including on-site water supply capabilities.
  • Assess potential impacts on nearby surface waters and aquatic habitats.
