City of Santa Rosa Public Safety Building UST Investigation, Remediation & Case Closure

EBA performed environmental characterization services for the Public Safety Building in Santa Rosa. The site contained three 10,000-gallon and one additional waste oil Underground Storage Tanks (UST).  EBA prepared an initial environmental investigation through the advancement of several borings.  EBA then developed bid specifications for UST removal and over-excavation.

EBA’s civil engineers provided grading plans for site reconstruction and oversaw all excavation activities.  EBA negotiated with the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board and Santa Rosa Fire Department to allow soil remedial goals which allowed the excavation to be terminated at a reasonable point.  After the excavation, EBA installed several monitoring wells at the site. Subsequent to required groundwater sampling, EBA presented a recommendation for case closure and the site has been granted no further action.
