Underground Storage Tank Investigation

EBA Engineering has over 23 years of experience in the removal, investigation, and remediation of underground storage tank (UST) sites. Our project approach is to act as the prime contractor and utilize qualified subcontractors in the removal and investigation of the tank in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. Our work scope as prime contractor includes the preparation of all project documentation, site specific health & safety plans, permitting, preparation of bid specifications, subcontractor management, and project management and oversight.

EBA Engineering currently has active site investigations at approximately 40 former UST sites located in Sonoma, Napa, Lake and Mendocino counties. Site investigation activities include contaminant characterization to determine the lateral and vertical extent of impacts. Our goal in the investigation of former UST sites is to expedite the characterization of the site and return it to full economic use in a minimal amount of time.

Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund

As part of the management of underground storage tank investigations, EBA has assisted clients in securing acceptance into the Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund. The UST Cleanup Fund oversees the reimbursement of investigative and corrective action costs for former UST sites. In this regard, EBA has significant experience and long-term relationships with the UST Cleanup Fund staff and managers. All work conducted by EBA is performed in accordance with the personnel labor rates and qualifications as indicated in the UST Cleanup Fund Cost Guidelines.

EBA currently provides technical and clerical assistance for all of our clients in seeking application to and reimbursement from the UST Cleanup Fund.
