Landfill Gas System Design and Installation
In order to mitigate methane gas migration, EBA designed and permitted an active landfill gas collection and destruction system for this 72-acre site.
As part of this, EBA modeled the site to determine methane generation rates and then designed a landfill gas (LFG) collection system based on those results.
EBA prepared permit applications and supporting documentation for the Authority to Construct and the Permit to Operate from the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District. Services EBA provided included:
- CQA services during the construction of the LFG system
- Source testing to verify emissions and flare destructive efficiency
- Preparation of the construction certification report
EBA also prepared the Final Closure and Post-Closure Maintenance Plan and provided construction inspection and construction management services during the landfill final closure construction as well as during the construction of the landfill gas collection and destruction system.
