Environmental Site Assessment and Soil and Groundwater Investigation
EBA conducted a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment for the acquisition and redevelopment of a former historic rail-yard property.
Several environmental concerns were discovered and observed during the Phase I that resulted in recommendations for Phase II investigation.
EBA conducted several phases of subsurface investigation, including a geophysical survey of the entire site to investigate for possible buried objects and debris, utilities, and other anomalies. EBA conducted extensive soil and groundwater investigation, including advancement of 75 soil borings and the collection of soil and groundwater samples in multiple water-bearing zones.
Remedial activities included the removal of a UST discovered during the geophysical survey and preparation of a soil and groundwater management plan for the redevelopment of the site.
Throughout the investigation, EBA worked closely with regulatory agencies such as the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board and the City of Santa Rosa Fire Department.
